Teen Left Seriously Injured After Crash on Wrangleboro Rd in Galloway, NJ.

GALLOWAY, NJ — A 17-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Wrangleboro Road on August 2.

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 8:57 p.m. when a 40-year-old Atlantic City man was driving northbound and hit the teen while he was crossing at a marked crosswalk. Emergency responders from the Galloway Township Police Department arrived to find the victim in the roadway, where he was subsequently transported to a local hospital. His injuries are serious but non-life-threatening, and he is currently in stable condition.

The Galloway Township Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. The teen’s identity has not been disclosed.

Authorities noted that pedestrian safety remains a concern, particularly in areas with limited sightlines, such as on curving roads like Wrangleboro Road. Traffic in Galloway Township frequently includes both local and through vehicles, raising the risk at pedestrian crossings.
