Teen trapped under SUV after motorcycle crash dies, according to WPD.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – An 18-year-old man, Kadrian Jackson, was killed early Sunday morning in a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV at Central and Hydraulic.

Wichita Police responded to the scene around 2:41 a.m., where they found Jackson trapped under an overturned SUV. Fire crews extricated him, but he was pronounced dead shortly after at 2:47 a.m.

Authorities said the SUV was traveling west on Central through a green light when the motorcycle, coming north on Hydraulic, reportedly ran a red light and collided with the SUV’s left rear quarter panel.

The SUV lost control and overturned, leading to the entrapment of the driver. Two passengers in the SUV were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The motorcyclist, a 32-year-old male, was also taken to a medical center for treatment and subsequently detained. According to police, preliminary investigations indicate suspected impairment may have contributed to the crash.

The case will be submitted to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for review after blood test results are received.

Traffic lanes were closed for the investigation but have since reopened.
