ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A 19-year-old motorcyclist died after a collision with a car on U.S. 50 near Veterans Parkway on Sunday evening.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 8:10 p.m. when a woman driving a Hyundai Palisade attempted to turn left from eastbound U.S. 50 onto Veterans Parkway. The motorcyclist, identified as Ryan Hayes, was traveling westbound on U.S. 50.
OSHP reported that Hayes struck the left front of the Hyundai before sliding off the right side of the road. He was transported to Chillicothe Adena Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Hyundai was not injured.
The crash is currently under investigation. No additional details have been released regarding lane closures or towing. Authorities are continuing to gather information about the incident.
