Thomasville man dies after motorcycle crash in Wilkes County
WILKES COUNTY, N.C. —
A 58-year-old Thomasville man died Sunday afternoon following a motorcycle crash on U.S. 421 South.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred near Clingman Road around 2:30 p.m.
Investigators reported that Todd Calloway was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he veered off the roadway and struck a guardrail.
Calloway sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead while en route to an area hospital.
Authorities stated that there were no other vehicles involved and that speed or impairment were not considered factors in the crash.
