ADELPHI, Md. — A three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle late Tuesday night resulted in three fatalities and injured two others.
The collision occurred at 11:26 p.m. at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Metzerott Road, according to police. Investigators reported that a motorcycle and one vehicle were traveling northbound on New Hampshire Avenue when a third vehicle attempted a left turn onto Metzerott Road, leading to the crash.
The motorcyclist, the driver of one vehicle, and a female passenger in that vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger in the third vehicle were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
