Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-40 Injures Five in Pulaski County

PULASKI COUNTY, AR – A multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 40 involved three vehicles and injured five people at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to the Arkansas State Police, the crash occurred in the westbound lanes near mile marker 145. Emergency responders, including Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office and local fire departments, arrived on scene shortly after the incident was reported.

Witnesses reported that one vehicle overturned, causing a chain reaction with the other two vehicles. All five injured individuals were transported to local hospitals for treatment; their conditions have not been disclosed.

Authorities indicated that both westbound lanes of I-40 were temporarily closed during the investigation and cleanup efforts. The closure lasted approximately one hour, with traffic diverted to local roads.

The crash remains under investigation by the Arkansas State Police, which has not yet released additional details regarding the causes of the accident.
