Three people injured in motorcycle crash on South Loop 289 Wednesday night.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A crash involving two motorcycles left three individuals injured on South Loop 289 Wednesday night.

At approximately 8:45 p.m., Lubbock Police responded to the incident in the eastbound lanes of South Loop between Quaker and Slide Road.

Authorities reported that one motorcycle operator, 26-year-old Kristopher Florez, and his passenger, 20-year-old Mariah Ochoa, sustained moderate injuries. The second motorcycle operator, 18-year-old Teaguen King, also suffered moderate injuries.

All three individuals were transported to University Medical Center for treatment.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Florez was following King when the two motorcycles collided in the left-hand lanes, subsequently sliding along the roadway.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
