Three-Vehicle Crash on I-84 Leaves Motorcyclist in Serious Condition at Hospital.

ADA COUNTY, Idaho — A 20-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 on Sunday at 1 p.m.

According to the Idaho State Police, the accident occurred at milepost 48 when the motorcyclist, a Meridian man riding a 2026 Kawasaki ZX636, collided with the rear of a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica driven by a 60-year-old Meridian woman. A 2015 Ford F-150, driven by a 61-year-old Boise man, then struck the motorcycle.

The injured motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was transported by ground ambulance to the hospital. Both the Pacifica’s driver and passenger, as well as the F-150 driver, were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Eastbound lanes of I-84 were closed for approximately 1.5 hours as emergency personnel managed the scene.

The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
