Six Traffic Deaths Reported Over Holiday Weekend

Authorities confirmed that six individuals lost their lives in crashes on Minnesota roads between Friday afternoon and early Monday morning.

Fatal Crash in Eagan

The most recent incident occurred shortly after midnight on Monday in Eagan. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, an SUV exiting I-35 E lost control, struck a traffic light, and caught fire.

A 28-year-old Eagan woman was driving, with a 38-year-old man from Georgia as a passenger. The crash report has not released their identities or confirmed fatalities.

Single-Vehicle Crash Near Duluth

On Sunday at approximately 6:30 p.m., a crash in Carlton County resulted in one death. Authorities stated two males from Barnum were involved, with one fatality and the other transported to a hospital in critical condition. Names have not been released.

Head-on Collision on Hwy. 169

Two women died in a head-on crash south of Grand Rapids on Sunday afternoon. Minnesota State Patrol identified the victims as 24-year-old McKenna Joy Christensen from Luck, WI, and 83-year-old Carole Rose Wiss from Grand Rapids. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Rollover During Pursuit

A 64-year-old man died in a rollover crash northeast of Marshall on Saturday evening. The State Patrol reported that Francis Albert Rohlik of Redwood Falls was not wearing a seatbelt. The incident occurred during a law enforcement pursuit.

Fatal Collision in Southwestern Minnesota

On Friday afternoon, 29-year-old Sean Goodman from Slayton ran a stop sign and collided with a southbound semi. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Three others sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital.
