ARNOLDS PARK, Iowa (KCRG) – A fatal boating accident on West Lake Okoboji involved two vessels colliding near Pillsbury Point on Sunday, August 2, at 1 PM.
One person was killed, and five others suffered injuries, three of which are serious. All individuals were wearing life jackets and were transported to Lakes Regional Hospital and Spencer Hospital.
There were no reported injuries on the second boat. Authorities stated that alcohol has been ruled out as a contributing factor, and the investigation is ongoing.
