Troopers Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash Following Police Chase.

WABASH COUNTY, Indiana — A motorcycle crash during a police pursuit resulted in a fatality early Saturday morning.

According to the Indiana State Police, the Wabash Police Department attempted to stop a motorcycle that disregarded a red light at approximately 3 a.m. The motorcycle fled from officers at high speed and subsequently veered off the roadway near the intersection of Miami Street and Walter Street, striking a utility pole.

First responders performed life-saving measures, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The Wabash County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased.

Authorities have confirmed the ongoing investigation into the incident. No additional injuries to bystanders or officers were reported.
