Undated/WTIC Radio – State police are investigating two fatal motorcycle crashes that occurred over the weekend in Connecticut.
On Saturday, a 21-year-old motorcycle rider, identified as Dylan Keefe, died after colliding with a Subaru Legacy in Hebron. Authorities said Keefe attempted to pass the Subaru as it was making a left turn from Gilead Street.
Keefe was thrown from the bike and later succumbed to injuries at a nearby hospital.
On Sunday, another fatal incident occurred when 35-year-old Enrique Rivera of Waterbury lost control of his motorcycle on Interstate 84 east near exit 23. He was also thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation led to the closure of Interstate 84 for six hours while authorities worked on-site.
