Truck driver arrested following motorcycle crash in New Hampshire that claimed seven lives.

A West Springfield man was arrested Monday for his alleged role in a crash that killed seven motorcyclists in Randolph, New Hampshire.

Volodymyr Zhukovskyy, 23, was taken into custody around 8 a.m. by Massachusetts State Police on a fugitive from justice charge, following a New Hampshire warrant for seven counts of negligent homicide, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office.

Zhukovskyy made a brief court appearance in Springfield on Monday afternoon.

He reportedly was driving a 2016 Dodge 2500 pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer when he collided with a group of 10 motorcycles on June 21.

Authorities identified the seven victims, all members or associates of the JarHeads MC motorcycle club, as four from New Hampshire, two from Massachusetts, and one from Rhode Island.

Massachusetts State Police also discovered numerous packets suspected of containing heroin at Zhukovskyy’s residence; testing is underway to confirm the substance, which could lead to additional drug charges.

Court records indicate Zhukovskyy has two prior arrests for drunken driving in 2013 and last month, with a history of license suspensions.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with lane closures expected as officials continue to gather evidence.
