Two dead in motorcycle crash in Laurens County, SCHP launches investigation.

LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. — Two individuals died in a motorcycle crash in Laurens County on Saturday, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Jones Road near Durbin Road.

A 2026 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling south when the rider lost control, veered off the road, struck a fire hydrant, and collided with a tree.

Both the operator and the passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with South Carolina Highway Patrol leading the efforts.
