Toms River, NJ – Two individuals died in a motorcycle-pedestrian collision on Route 37 west, near Coolidge Avenue, on October 25.
Authorities said the crash occurred shortly after 8:00 p.m., resulting in the deaths of both the motorcyclist and the pedestrian at the scene. Their identities have not been released pending family notification.
According to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, the Toms River Police Department is leading the ongoing investigation, with support from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. All westbound lanes of Route 37 were closed between Coolidge and Gouvernor avenues for several hours as investigators gathered evidence.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
