LEE County, Iowa (KWQC) – Two individuals sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident in Lee County late Saturday night.
At 11:18 p.m., Iowa State Patrol, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and Lee County Emergency Management responded to a crash on U.S. 61 South near 185th Street.
Authorities said Todd Helmick, 36, of Argyle, Iowa, was riding a motorcycle southbound on U.S. 61 when he lost control and crashed, injuring himself and his passenger, Ashley Lundeen, 33, of West Burlington, Iowa.
Both Helmick and Lundeen were airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals, with Helmick transported by MedForce and Lundeen by AirCare.
The incident remains under investigation, and no further details have been released.
