Two injured in Dodge County motorcycle crash
Medical helicopters transport injured cyclists to hospital after crash
NORTH BEND, Neb. —
Two motorcyclists were injured Monday morning in a collision east of North Bend, Nebraska.
The accident occurred just east of County Road 10 on Highway 30 around 10:15 a.m.
According to Dodge County investigators, Zachary Toebben, 29, of Fremont was traveling eastbound when he crossed into the westbound lanes to pass another vehicle.
Toebben struck a westbound motorcycle operated by Corey Christiansen, 33, of Omaha.
Both riders sustained severe leg injuries and were transported by medical helicopters to local hospitals. Authorities confirmed that both men were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
The incident prompted lane closures as emergency responders from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and local medical teams worked at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
