Two Fatalities in Multi-Car Crash Near Okolona
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two men died and another was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Preston Highway Friday night, according to Louisville Metro Police.
The incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. near the 10300 block of Preston Highway, close to Maple Spring Drive. Authorities said a motorcycle was traveling north on Preston Highway when a vehicle pulled into the northbound lanes, leading to a collision.
Following the initial crash, a third northbound vehicle struck the motorcycle and the first vehicle. The motorcyclist was ejected, and EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.
Two adults from the other vehicles sustained serious injuries and were transported to University of Louisville Hospital. An 80-year-old man later died from his injuries on Saturday, while the other victim is expected to recover fully.
Preston Highway was closed in both directions during the investigation. The LMPD Traffic Unit is handling the ongoing inquiry.
