FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Two motorcyclists were killed Saturday evening in a crash in Saint Thomas Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Ross DeShong, 54, and Paula Young, 50, both of Warfordsburg, were ejected from their motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 5:07 p.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Way West and Hade Road.
Troopers reported that the motorcycle was traveling straight on Lincoln Way when an SUV turned into its path, causing the collision.
The SUV driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, according to officials.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and the intersection was temporarily closed during the investigation.
