Two motorcyclists died following a crash Friday night on northbound Illinois 394 in Glenwood.
The accident occurred just before 10 p.m. near Dyer Road, according to Illinois State Police. Both motorcyclists were traveling north when one motorcycle rear-ended the other, resulting in a collision.
One rider, identified as Sarah Gudeman, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second rider, Justin Fasnacht, 22, of Crown Point, Indiana, was transported to Franciscan Health Munster but succumbed to injuries later.
Authorities closed the northbound lanes of Illinois 394 during the investigation, which concluded around 3 a.m. Saturday.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. No further information has been released.
