Two Motorcyclists Seriously Injured in Kirtland Accident.

KIRTLAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A serious injury accident occurred Sunday afternoon at 3:42 p.m. on state Route 306 near Parkwood Drive.

According to Kirtland Police, the collision involved one passenger vehicle and two motorcycles. The department received multiple 911 calls regarding the incident.

Police and fire departments responded to the scene, where they located the wreckage. The motorcycle operators suffered serious injuries and were transported to Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was also taken to Hillcrest. Authorities said the driver crossed the center line, entering the opposing lane and striking the motorcycles.

Kirtland Police requested assistance from Waite Hill and Chesterland Police Departments for traffic control. The Lake County Crash Investigation Unit is assisting with the ongoing investigation.

No further details have been released. Lane closures were in effect while the scene was cleared.
