Motorcycle Collision in Wichita Leaves Two Critically Injured
WICHITA, KS — Two individuals suffered critical injuries in a motorcycle and Jeep collision on Thursday evening.
Authorities responded to the incident at approximately 6:01 p.m. A motorcycle traveling eastbound on Pawnee Avenue collided with a Jeep turning south onto George Washington Boulevard.
Both drivers were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Wichita police Sgt. Jason Bryant. The motorcyclist was reported to be without a helmet or protective gear at the time of the crash.
“Wearing protective equipment can significantly reduce the risk of serious injury,” Bryant said.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing. No additional information regarding road closures or vehicle towing has been provided.
