CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — Two individuals sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident on US20 in Canyon County Monday afternoon.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. near mile marker 1. According to the Idaho State Police, a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound and was in the process of passing a semi-truck when the rider struck an oil slick.
The motorcycle subsequently crashed and came to a halt on the shoulder. Authorities identified the rider as a 57-year-old man and his passenger as a 55-year-old woman, both from Woodinville, WA. Both were wearing helmets at the time of the incident.
The rider was transported by ground ambulance, while the passenger was airlifted to a local hospital. Their current medical conditions have not been disclosed.
Emergency response included local medical units. The investigation into the accident is ongoing, with no information available on road closures at this time.
