Two People Seriously Injured in Richland County Motorcycle Crash.

Two Injured in Motorcycle Sideswipe Collision in Richland County

RICHLAND COUNTY, N.D. (KVRR) – Two individuals were seriously injured in a sideswipe motorcycle collision on Highway 11, just east of Lidgerwood, on May 14 at approximately 9:30 p.m.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2005 Buick Park Avenue and a Harley Davidson motorcycle were both traveling westbound when the Buick attempted to pass. The motorcycle entered the eastbound lane, leading to a sideswipe. The motorcycle lost control, entered the south ditch, and ejected both riders, who were not wearing helmets.

Both injured riders were transported to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo for treatment. The 49-year-old male driver of the motorcycle has been charged with driving under the influence and driving under suspension. His 37-year-old female passenger is not facing any charges.

The 59-year-old Buick driver was uninjured and is also not facing any charges. The incident is under investigation by local authorities.
