PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Two motorcyclists sustained serious injuries in a late-night collision in Northwest Portland on Saturday.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:14 p.m. on October 7 at the intersection of Northwest St. Helens Road and Northwest Front Avenue. Portland Police Bureau officers arrived to find both riders on the ground.
Emergency medical personnel transported the motorcyclists to a local hospital. Both are currently in critical condition, with one rider suffering from life-threatening injuries.
The Portland Police Bureau’s Major Crash Team is conducting an investigation. As a result, Northwest St. Helens Road was closed between Northwest Front Avenue and Northwest Balboa Avenue during the inquiry.
