Two motorcycle riders sustained serious injuries in a crash involving a Kia Sportage on East Albain Road in Monroe Township on Wednesday night.
Authorities reported the incident occurred at 7:34 p.m. The injured riders, Ryan Warren, 39, and Ashley Kiss, 34, both from Taylor, were riding a 2022 Kawasaki EX650 motorcycle.
The driver of the Kia Sportage, Tenny Gilces-Cedeno, 56, of Hilliard, Ohio, was traveling northeast on East Albain Road when the motorcycle, reportedly moving southwest at high speed, crossed the centerline and collided with the Kia while negotiating a curve.
Both riders fell from the motorcycle and were transported to an unspecified hospital with serious injuries. Their current conditions have not been disclosed. No citations have been issued and an investigation is ongoing, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
