Two Seriously Injured in Motorcycle-Car Collision in Hannibal.

HANNIBAL (WGEM) – Two people sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle-car collision on U.S. 61 Friday evening.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the motorcycle failed to yield at a traffic signal and struck a 2009 Mercury Milan at West Ely Road.

A 19-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both from Hannibal, were airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries.

The 55-year-old female driver of the Mercury Milan from Palmyra, Missouri, was not injured in the incident.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash, and tow operations were conducted to clear the scene. No further details on lane closures were reported.
