Two teenagers and an infant were involved in a single-vehicle crash Thursday night in Franklin County, Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a 2015 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on Enochs Knob Road, west of MO 185, when the driver lost control around 11:20 p.m.
The vehicle slid off the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned. The 16-year-old male driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.
A 17-year-old boy and an infant who were also in the vehicle suffered moderate injuries and were transported to Mercy Hospital in Washington.
MSHP authorities reported that none of the teenagers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. An investigation is ongoing, with no word yet on potential citations or charges.
