Two teenagers and an infant were injured in a single-vehicle crash on Enochs Knob Road in Franklin County on Thursday night.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the 2015 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound when the driver, a 16-year-old male, lost control at approximately 11:20 p.m. The vehicle slid off the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned.
The driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis. A 17-year-old male and an infant who were also in the vehicle suffered moderate injuries and were transported to Mercy Hospital in Washington.
MSHP confirmed that none of the teenagers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
