Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-95 Leaves One Dead, Several Injured

A multi-vehicle crash on I-95 southbound near Mile Marker 123 occurred at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident involved five vehicles, including two sedans and three pickup trucks. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene, while at least three others sustained serious injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital.

Emergency responders from the Brevard County Fire Rescue and local law enforcement arrived shortly after the accident. Authorities indicated that all southbound lanes of I-95 were closed for over two hours to facilitate investigation and cleanup operations.

Witnesses reported that the crash involved multiple collisions as cars attempted to avoid the vehicles that had already crashed. The scene was cleared by 6:45 p.m., and traffic began to flow again, but delays were still reported in the area.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collision. No further details, including the identities of those involved, have been released as notification to next of kin is pending.
