Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-90 Leaves One Dead, Several Injured
A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 90 in Rochester resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries on October 10, 2023, around 5:20 p.m.
According to the New York State Police, the incident involved four vehicles, traveling westbound near Exit 45. First responders arrived on the scene shortly after, providing medical aid to the injured.
One individual, identified as a 35-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three others sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals by AMR Ambulance.
Authorities reported that two westbound lanes were closed for approximately three hours while the scene was cleared and an investigation was conducted. Motorists were advised to use alternate routes during the lane closures.
As of now, no charges have been filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
