Multi-Vehicle Crash on Route 1 Injures Three, Causes Lane Closures
DAGSBORO, DE — A multi-vehicle collision on Route 1 near Dagsboro resulted in three injuries on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Delaware State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. involving four vehicles traveling southbound. Emergency responders, including the Sussex County Paramedics and the Dagsboro Fire Company, arrived on the scene to provide medical assistance.
Authorities confirmed that three individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. The injured included two adults and one child.
The southbound lanes of Route 1 were temporarily closed for approximately two hours while authorities conducted an investigation and cleared the wreckage. Towing services were on site to remove the damaged vehicles.
Delaware State Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional details have been released at this time.
