CASS COUNTY, Mo. — A 65-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash on Highway 7 in Cass County on the evening of October 3.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:15 p.m. The man, riding a Harley Davidson, lost control and veered off the left side of southbound Highway 7 at South Thunder Road. The motorcycle crossed the median, traveled through the northbound lanes, and struck a tree off the shoulder.
Emergency responders pronounced the rider dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the incident. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The left lane of Highway 7 was temporarily closed for the investigation and clearing of the accident.
