A 43-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash on the Muskogee Turnpike near Webbers Falls on Saturday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
Shawn Crawford was riding a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve on the exit ramp. The motorcycle struck an elevated curb, causing Crawford to be ejected. He then hit a metal sign support and came to rest in the grass, OHP reported.
Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation. Further details regarding lane closures and emergency response were not provided.
