Motorcycle Crash Causes Fireball in Bexar County Neighborhood

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — A motorcycle crash on Thursday afternoon in a residential area led to a fiery explosion, narrowly avoiding several nearby children.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Wooden Fox and Oakwood Crest, near Marbach Road, according to authorities. Witnesses reported the motorcycle skidded down the street before striking a curb and erupting into flames.

Homeowner Robert Perez, who reviewed his security footage, described the scene as shocking. “I literally looked at the video and said, ‘Oh my God, I cannot believe that just happened,’” he said. The video has circulated on social media, showing the dramatic moments of the crash.

Despite the dramatic visuals, authorities confirmed that no children were injured in the incident. The motorcyclist survived but suffered burns, reportedly running across the street on fire before collapsing in a nearby field.

A neighbor attempted to extinguish the flames using a garden hose, witnesses said. Authorities have not provided further details regarding the condition of the rider or the ongoing investigation.

Emergency services responded to the scene, and the motorcycle was towed away. Lane closures were briefly enacted during the response.
