A motorcycle crash on McBee Highway in Kershaw County claimed the life of a Virginia man on Sunday morning.
According to the Kershaw County Coroner’s Office, the accident occurred around 8 a.m. at the intersection of McBee Highway and Mt. Pisgah Road. Authorities reported that 66-year-old Dennis Roethlisberger of Charlottesville, Virginia, was traveling east on Mt. Pisgah Road when his motorcycle collided with a minivan heading north on McBee Highway.
The coroner’s office confirmed that Roethlisberger was pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries were reported among the occupants of the minivan.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
