Virginia State Police identify motorcycle driver killed in Concord crash.

A motorcycle crash at the intersection of Doss Road and Route 460 in Concord resulted in a fatality on August 20.

The collision involved a motorcycle and a Chevrolet Silverado, with 56-year-old Timothy Cartrett of Spout Spring, Virginia, confirmed dead at the scene. The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. when Cartrett, traveling on Route 460, struck the Silverado that had reportedly pulled out from Doss Road.

Emergency responders from the Concord Volunteer Fire Department arrived five minutes after the call, establishing traffic control and securing the scene. Nearly two dozen responders from multiple agencies participated in the response.

The driver of the Silverado, 25-year-old Jacob Tolley of Rustburg, was subsequently charged with failure to yield at a stop sign.

Authorities are investigating the crash, emphasizing the need for heightened awareness at the intersection, which has been noted as particularly hazardous.

The Virginia State Police continues to gather details regarding the incident.
