HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident on I-64 West that occurred shortly after midnight on Saturday.
Authorities said Marlo B. Tubikanec, 20, of Newport News, lost control of his motorcycle near Big Bethel Road around 12:33 a.m. Tubikanec suffered injuries from this incident.
While attempting to leave the roadway, Tubikanec was struck by another motorcycle driven by James N. Marketh, 49, of Chester. Tubikanec was pronounced dead at the scene.
Virginia State Police continue to investigate the crash. No additional details on injuries or roadway impacts have been reported.
