Waterloo Lawsuit Alleges Officers Concealed Details of Ex-Cop’s Fatal Crash.

WATERLOO, Iowa — The estate of Jenna Mills, a woman killed in a motorcycle crash in 2024, has filed a lawsuit against the city and several police officers.

The lawsuit alleges that the city and members of the Waterloo Police Department attempted to cover up evidence related to the crash involving former officer Keaton Northup, who was dating Mills. According to the estate, police failed to document signs of intoxication and speeding by Northup at the time of the incident.

The suit claims officers deactivated body cameras and did not obtain a warrant for a blood alcohol test. The estate is seeking damages and demands a jury trial, citing violations of constitutional rights.

Authorities have not confirmed further details about the ongoing investigation.
