Waymo Robotaxi Involved in Fatal Crash in Tempe

TEMPE, AZ — A Waymo robotaxi was involved in a fatal collision with a motorcycle early Sunday morning at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Rural Road, near Arizona State University.

According to authorities, the Waymo vehicle, which was driving with no passengers, was preparing to make a right turn into a parking lot when it was struck from behind by a motorcycle.
