NIXA, Mo. (KY3) – An 18-year-old woman from Springfield was killed in a crash on Highway 14 near Nixa at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the victim was a passenger in a vehicle that hydroplaned, crossed the centerline, and was subsequently struck on the passenger side by an SUV.
Three individuals in the other vehicle sustained injuries described as minor to moderate. Their identities have not been disclosed.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene, and the highway was briefly closed for investigation and clean-up efforts. Details regarding tows have not yet been released.
