WEST HAVEN — A motorcycle crash on Interstate 95 North in West Haven Sunday night was linked to debris from an earlier accident, police said.
Authorities reported that the initial crash involved a vehicle striking a metal guardrail near Exit 43 around 8 p.m. The driver required extrication and was transported to the hospital with injuries.
Less than an hour later, a motorcyclist collided with debris from the first incident in the same location. The motorcyclist sustained injuries and was also taken to the hospital.
Both incidents occurred between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., according to police. As of Monday morning, no updates were available regarding the severity of injuries from either crash.
