WASCO COUNTY, Ore. — A 38-year-old man from West Richland died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 84 near The Dalles on April 14.
The incident occurred at 11:51 a.m. when Ryan Christopher King collided with the rear of an Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) attenuator vehicle. The ODOT vehicle was stationary in the left lane to shield a mobile brooming operation in the median, according to Oregon State Police.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the ODOT vehicle was unharmed. Emergency responders attended the scene, and the investigation is ongoing. No additional details on injuries or lane closures were reported.
