Westbrook Motorcycle Collision Claims Life of Woman Visiting Family
A woman died Monday following a motorcycle crash involving a commercial truck in Westbrook.
The 41-year-old woman, a passenger on a trike motorcycle, was involved in the collision at the intersection of Saco Street and Eisenhower Drive around 12:41 p.m., according to the Westbrook Police Department. The motorcycle was operated by a 59-year-old woman from Windham, while the truck was driven by a 37-year-old man from East Waterboro.
Both female occupants of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital. The 41-year-old woman later succumbed to her injuries, while the 59-year-old’s injuries are reported as not life-threatening. The truck driver was unharmed.
The crash is currently under investigation. Authorities have not released further details.
