SHELBY COUNTY, Iowa — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Highway 59 on Sunday, just north of Harlan.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a Chevy Equinox was traveling northbound when it attempted a left turn onto County Road F32. The SUV collided with a motorcycle traveling south on the highway.
The motorcyclist, identified as 63-year-old Francis Rueschenberg, was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Emergency services responded to the scene, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
No additional injuries were reported, and there were no lane closures as a result of the incident.
