VALLEY CENTER, Kan. — A motorcycle accident late Monday night resulted in the death of 46-year-old Guerrero Moreno Jr. in Sedgwick County.
According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, Moreno’s motorcycle collided with an SUV on a roadway north of Valley Center. Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene.
This tragic incident coincides with the two-year anniversary of the deaths of Moreno’s wife, Erin, and their 17-year-old son, who died in a separate crash on the Kansas Turnpike in 2024.
Authorities reported that the surviving sons, ages 11 and 14, are now facing the challenge of growing up without both parents. A GoFundMe page has been established to assist with funeral costs and ongoing support for the boys.
The fundraising campaign highlights the profound loss the children have experienced, stating, “Guerrero’s greatest pride and joy were his sons.”
The investigation into the accident is ongoing, and no additional details about the circumstances have been confirmed at this time.
