Wichita-area motorcycle crash claims father’s life, prompting GoFundMe effort for his sons.

VALLEY CENTER, Kan. — Guerrero Moreno Jr., 46, died in a motorcycle crash on July 27, 2026, north of Valley Center.

According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, his motorcycle collided with an SUV. Emergency responders confirmed that Moreno suffered fatal injuries at the scene.

This incident occurred exactly two years after his wife, Erin Moreno, and their 17-year-old son were killed in a crash on the Kansas Turnpike.

Authorities said the couple’s surviving sons, aged 11 and 14, are now grieving their father’s death. A GoFundMe page has been established to assist with funeral costs and provide support for the boys.

The page notes that the children are facing overwhelming loss at a young age and highlights Guerrero’s dedication to his sons.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing. Further details about road conditions or potential lane closures were not immediately available.
