Wichita Motorcycle Crash Claims Young Life

WICHITA, KS — A motorcycle crash involving a car at the intersection of Lincoln and Oliver on April 7 resulted in the death of 22-year-old Blaise Stewart.

The incident occurred just before 3:30 p.m., as a southbound Kia Soul turned east onto Lincoln and collided with Stewart’s northbound motorcycle, according to the Wichita Police Department. The driver of the Kia, a 61-year-old male, sustained injuries and was hospitalized.

Authorities believe speed may have been a contributing factor to the crash. The motorcycle was severely damaged, and the aftermath led to temporary lane closures at the intersection during the investigation.

Stewart was employed by I Heart Cookies since 2022, where he was known for his friendliness. The company announced his passing on social media, describing him as family and stating he will be greatly missed.
