BARKHAMSTED — A 27-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision with a parked tow truck on East Hartland Road Saturday afternoon, according to Connecticut State Police.
The accident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. Authorities reported the motorcycle collided head-on with a tow truck, resulting in the fatality. Emergency services responded to the scene, but the rider was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The road was briefly closed while investigators evaluated the scene, and towing services were called to remove the vehicles involved. No additional injuries were reported.
