Woman Charged in Deadly Pedestrian Crash in West Fargo.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (Local News Wire) – A West Fargo woman faces charges in a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on May 6, authorities confirmed.

Carly Vanessa Vizenor, 25, has been charged with a felony for duty in accident involving death or injury-death.

The incident took place around 2:46 a.m. near the intersection of 32nd Avenue South and 9th Street West, where 38-year-old Jose Rodriguez was struck by a vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

According to officials, Vizenor left the scene after the collision, driving to a residence on 8th Street West before returning to contact emergency services. She estimated that about 10 minutes passed before she called for help.

A search warrant was issued less than two hours after the crash, leading to the seizure of Vizenor’s 2016 white Ford Fusion as evidence.

No court appearance date has been set, and the North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident. The case has been forwarded to the Cass County State’s Attorney’s office.
